press. Rates and guidelines for our services are
listed below. For detailed descriptions of each service, visit our Services

Rates
for Basic Services
- All Basic Editing Services Rate:
$35.00 per hour (or fraction thereof)
Guidelines:
Includes corrections for grammar,
spelling,
punctuation, sentence structure, reformatting, reflowing text where
necessary and any
required research. This rate is for both our
Proofreading/Light Copy Editing Service and our Substantive/Heavy Copy
Editing Service.
- Manuscript Critiquing Rates:
$100.00 flat fee
for documents under 50 pages or
$3.00 per page for documents over 50 pages
Guidelines:
There
is a $50 minimum deposit required for manuscript critiquing services.
It is strongly encouraged that documents presented for
manuscript
critiquing are double-spaced, TNR, 12 point with one-inch margins all
around so that comments can be provided.
We
provide a FREE sample edit on portions of your text up to 500 words.
(One
sample per client. Basic Services only.)

Rates
for Premium Services
- Express Editing Rates:
$35.00/hour (or fraction thereof) + 50% of total quoted fee.
Guidelines and Restrictions:
Express editing is only available for basic services. Express editing
is defined as work with a 24- to 48-hour
turn-around time. Work that comes in for express editing after 3 p.m.
on a Friday with a request for a Monday return will be treated as an
express job. Express editing is not available on major U.S. holidays
nor during the third and fourth full weeks of September. Other
black-out dates may apply, depending upon availability.
For express
editing, 50% of the total fee is due up front, editing begins upon
receipt of funds. We only accept PayPal for express editing.
You will be notified
when the document is ready. Final payment is due before we release the
edited
document.
- Developmental Editing, Writing
Rates and Document Creation Rates are $75.00 per hour ea.
Developmental Editing Guidelines:
Developmental
editing is a contractual service. Contact us to discuss your project. A
deposit
of no less than 25% of the quoted price is due upon signing, payment is
to
be made in intervals as determined in the contract. Final payment is
due before we release the final edited document.
Writng Services
Guidelines: Writing Services are by
contract
and only after
discussing your project with
us to determine if we are a good fit for
you and your project.
Confidentiality is ensured unless
otherwise stipulated by the terms of the contract.
The writing rate is contingent upon
anticipated final manuscript length, the type
of project and such considerations as whether additional research is
needed. We will make agreed-upon adjustments to the contract where/when
necessary.
A
deposit of no less than 25% of the quoted price is due upon signing,
payment is to be made in intervals as determined in the contract. Final
payment is due prior to release of the proofread, ghost-written
document.
Note: Writing Services
are not available to students at any level, for any reason
at any time.
Document
Creation Guidelines: Call us at 313.244.5885 to discuss

for theatrical productions and concerts), newsletters and more.
- Consulting Rates: $90.00 per hour
Consulting CGuidelines: Consulting Services are by
contract
and only after
discussing your project with
us to determine if we are a good fit for

The Fine Print
(Important Information)
- Rates
are charged hourly except where otherwise described.
- Rates
are based upon the average number of pages that can be read
and edited in one hour for the service described. For these purposes,
one page is
calculated as being 250 words long when formatted
in 12-point, Times New Roman (TNR), double spaced, with one-inch
margins all around without any page headers or page footers. This is
the benchmark for determining our rates regardless of whether documents
received for editing adhere to this format.
- For certain
editing services, adhering to the above format is strongly encouraged,
for others, it is required.
- All rates are in
U.S. dollars and payment is to be remitted in U.S. dollars.
- Except where
otherwise indicated, a deposit of no less than 50% of the quoted
price is expected prior to work beginning. Deposits must be made
electronically.
- Final payments may
be
made by EFT or credit card through Pay Pal or by personal check,
business check, cashier's check or money order.
Electronic payment is preferred and strongly encouraged to cut down on
waste and payment delays. Details for final payment will be included in
your invoice(s).
- Checks returned by
the bank for insufficient funds are subject to a $35.00 service charge.
- Payments
not made within 15 business days from invoicing will be charged a late
fee of net + 1.5% per month past due.
- Deposits are
non-refundable.
- All
invoicing is
done electronically, either by an e-mailed PDF or through Pay Pal.
